Weaver’s Orchard in Morgantown celebrates Johnny Appleseed Day, which is all about pick-your-own apples! During September, make your way to the orchard for hayrides, apple treats, apple cider, and baked apple desserts or swing by the 13th Annual Johnny Appleseed Festival in Scheffield in October. Experience live music, an apple pie baking contest, cornhole tournament, wine tasting at the Sheffield Firehall, Lanterns to Heaven, Sawdust Pile Dive for children, and an incredible firework show on Saturday night.

Grim’s Orchard & Family Farms will host its Fall Festival mid-September in Breinigsville, featuring attractions like the corn maze, cattle rides, hayrides, and pick-your-own apples and pumpkins! Pick from more than 23 varieties of apples along with other farm favorites.

The National Apple Harvest Festival in Biglerville celebrates crafts, music, and food. Special attractions include the Apple Auditorium and antique cars, steam engine displays, orchard tours, petting zoo, craftsman demonstrations, and appearances by the Pennsylvania Apple Queen.

This October, the 34th Annual Hickory Apple Festival in Hickory celebrates the brave firefighters of the Mount Pleasant Township Volunteer Fire Company. Visit the festival for food and fun this year while supporting local township businesses and local communities.

Nestled in the heart of Western Pennsylvania’s Amish Country, the Apple Castle, LLC has been growing quality fruit since 1861. Their Annual Fall Harvest Festival & Craft Show, held every October, and offers free parking, entertainment, and wagon rides! Davenport Fruit Farm in Meadville offers a wide selection of apples that are as good fresh off the tree as they are baked into your favorite treats. Pick up one of their pre-made mixes to make baking with your delicious apple haul a cinch.
