Sharon is a celebration of the superlative: the town boasts the World's Largest Shoe Store, the World's Largest Candy Store, and the Best Wings in the U.S.A. Whether or not this is true, the town is still a charming place to visit. Mercer County's lakes are excellent for fishing and boating, and nearby shopping outlets make bargain-hunters happy. Golfers, antique collectors, and Bed and Breakfast fans will find plenty to do here, but car thieves won't: Sharon is the birthplace of The Club, the ubiquitous steering-wheel lock.
