St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Join thousands of spectators along the Parkway, and celebrate all things Irish with the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. St. Patrick’s Day has been celebrated in Philadelphia for more than 240 years, and the annual parade has grown into a source of civic pride. The parade is now the Delaware Valley’s largest event and features more than 20,000 participants including marching bands, dance troupes, youth groups and Irish associations.

Celebrate independence in America’s hometown! The 4th of July Taste of Philly festival celebrates Independence Day with a week filled with free patriotic events, live music and food. The Independence Day parade features more than 5,000 participants marching through historic Philadelphia leading to the symbolic ringing of the Liberty Bell. The festivities continue with blocks and blocks of games, food and activities at the “Party on the Parkway” before popular musicians take the stage at the “Philly 4th of July Jam and Fireworks.” Foodies can enjoy a Taste of Philadelphia as Penn’s Landing is taken over by Philly’s favorite food vendors and enjoy more live music and fireworks on the Waterfront.
