Bailys Dairy of Pocopson Meadow Farm

At Baily’s Dairy, their meadows are home to 70 dairy cows who provide natural and delicious milk that the Baily family uses to make homemade ice cream with local, farm-fresh ingredients. Baily’s Dairy scoops ice cream on the weekends only, but their farm store is open seven days a week. Offering both hard ice cream and soft serve, along with floats, their fan favorites include decadent whole bean vanilla and rich salted caramel flavors. They also work with their local farms and neighbors to offer fresh fruit toppings throughout the summer and unique specials such as their famous “cantaloupe bowls” – replace your ice cream bowl with a fresh sugar cantaloupe and fill it with your favorite scoop of ice cream! When you visit the farm, your family can enjoy picnic tables with beautiful views of the pasture and animals.

Betsy’s Ice Cream

Since 2012, Betsy’s Ice Cream has served the finest super-premium homemade ice cream, frozen yogurt, shakes, and other frozen treats. Their hand-crafted ice cream starts with a custom-blended and all-natural base of the finest milk and cream from farms in the Pittsburgh area. With hundreds of varieties and 28 homemade ice cream, sorbet, and yogurt flavors available daily, Betsy’s is guaranteed to have something to please every palate.
Note: Metered and/or garage parking required. A private lot, located near the intersection of Cedar and Florida, is available after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all-day Saturday and Sunday.

Chester Springs at Milky Way Farm has been voted among the top ice cream destinations in Pennsylvania. Visit the creamery for a delicious ice cream cone, sundae, or milkshake made from fresh milk right from the farm. The more than 40 different flavors of “moolicious” ice cream, such as Bessie’s Black Raspberry and Molly’s Mint Chip, are named after the farm’s cows. Crystal Spring Farm

Crystal Spring Farm’s ice cream is made with fresh milk and cream from the farm’s own dairy herd, using Grandpa Sell’s time-tested recipes. Grandpa Sell still enjoys refining his recipes, using a variety of flavorings and fresh ingredients. In addition to hand-dipped ice cream from the creamery, the farm’s retail store sells pre-packaged ice cream in half gallons, quarts, pints, Dixie cups, ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream cakes.

Hall's Ice Cream

Jackson Farms specializes in homemade hand dipped ice cream in a variety of flavors and is known for its chocolate milk. Keatings Ice Cream

Located on Keating’s Heavens Gate Farm, Keatings Ice Cream is family-friendly with outdoor seating. Using one-of-a-kind, family-owned recipes, Keatings has so many different flavors of ice cream available throughout the summer. From old time favorites with some additional new flavors, like French Toast Bacon, there’s a delicious concoction for everyone to enjoy. In a cozy storefront adjacent to their dairy farm, Keatings also sells their own beef for a true farm-to-table experience.

Kerber’s Dairy

Kerber's, a family owned and operated dairy store, sits on the last 70-acre parcel of the family’s original dairy farm. It is located between Greensburg and Pittsburgh off US Route 30. Ice Cream has become its best-known and most requested product. On any given day, about 40 different flavors are available. In a year’s time, Tom Kerber, Jr makes over 165 different flavors, depending on the season. Featured this Spring – Banana Crème Pie, banana ice cream with Marshmallow Swirl and graham crackers. Besides cones and cups, our ice cream is served in Sundaes, Banana Splits, and in Milk Shakes which you can enjoy in our covered patio, at the picnic tables, or inside in our restaurant section. Kerber’s is an agritourism facility and includes a playground and an 18-hole mini-golf course.

Klein Farms Dairy and Creamery is home to Happy Holstein Ice Cream. This family-owned farm was founded in 1935, opened its first dairy store in 2004, and moved to its new facility in 2016. Manning Farm Dairy

Manning Farm Dairy is a fourth generation family farm in North Abington Township, Pennsylvania. Their homemade ice cream starts well before the cream and sugar. They start with the quality crops that are grown on the farm and are fed to their cows - since happy cows are productive cows. Then they milk the cows twice a day and bottle that milk to make ice cream that is delivered to their stores daily. Manning's homemade starts with the farm first.

At Berkey Creamery, they have it down to a science — literally. The methods developed by Penn State’s food and dairy scientists have made the creamery a world authority on ice cream and dairy manufacturing. The cow-to-cone process is broken down into 12 scientist-approved steps, starting with the university’s herd of 200 Holstein cows. Before vising the creamery, located on Penn State’s University Park campus, be sure to check out the Hall of Fame Flavors.
Note: Parking is available in the East Deck Parking Garage on Bigler Road located directly behind the Creamery Store and the Rodney A. Erickson Food Science Building.

Perrydell Farm and Dairy

Perrydell Farm is a working and fully self-sufficient dairy farm. The Perry family owns 170 acres of land and rent an additional 180 acres, where they plant and harvest almost everything they need to feed their cows. The farm was bought in 1923 by Howard Perry. His two sons, George and Roger, eventually took over the farm and started bottling their own milk in 1963. Because of this approach, the farm now supports four families from the milk of only 130 cows. The farm is now owned and operated by George's sons, Tom, Greg, and Chip. Everyone in the family stays involved in the farm, since there is always work to be done.

Ritchey’s Dairy

The Ritchey family has been churning out delicious ice cream and other dairy products for more than 75 years, purchasing milk from local dairy farms. The family-owned processing plant and dairy store have grown in scope and business over the years, with a complete remodel of the ice cream production area in 2016. In addition to its year-round flavors, Ritchey’s Dairy offers seasonal and holiday flavors as well as Dixie cup varieties. The store’s ice cream cakes are a local favorite, as is the chocolate milk.

In 1952, Mr. and Mrs. Earl D. Hurst purchased a farm located along 272 in the Village of Oregon, PA. Mom and Pop Hurst had a dream of serving their neighbors and friends by selling fresh products from their farm. Their dream became a reality in 1974 when they built and operated a small dairy store from which they sold fresh milk, eggs, produce and Oregon Dairy Ice Cream! A new store was completed in 1979, and the Hurst family continues to sell Oregon Dairy Ice Cream in the Market at Oregon Dairy and now in The Milkhouse Ice Cream Shoppe that offers over 25 flavors of delicious hand-dipped ice cream, signature sundaes, milkshakes, floats, and Ice Cream Flights.

A family-owned dairy farm, Vale Wood Farms grows the crops used to feed its own herd of cows. Vale Wood processes the milk from its cows, along with milk from neighboring farms, into a full line of quality dairy products – including ice cream – that are delivered to local customers. The dairy and farm store are located in the countryside, close to the cows who provide their high quality milk. Way-Har Farm Market is a third-generation, family-owned business that has been retailing its milk and ice cream for over 50 years. In 1970, the Lesher family opened the farm market as a retail dairy store to sell milk directly from their cows.
