Explore the Japanese art form known as bonsai with your hosts Steven and Nate. Together they have been studying bonsai for 20 years. Following a brief discussion of styles and design you will select your tree, prune, pot, and then shape your very own masterpiece to take home. The workshop includes a complimentary wine tasting (age 21+), a tree, a pot, soil, chopstick, wire (if needed), a small pair of pruners, and a how-to-care-for guide.

Second Saturdays at Cliveden
Cliveden offers free tours of the house and grounds every second Saturday of the month, May to October, part of the Second Saturdays at Cliveden programming. Tours begin in the Cliveden Barn and run from 12pm to 4pm, starting on the hour. The last tour of the day is at 3pm. Tours include the grounds, first and second floors of the house, the 1767 Kitchen Dependency, and our current exhibit, The Turmoil of Transition: The mid-nineteenth century at Cliveden.

Led by Sean ‘Spike’ Slawson who has been breaking hearts and winning over Abuelas since ’95. Along with members of The Ramones, Black Flag, Social Distortion, Rocket From The Crypt, The Damned, Strung Out and No Doubt to name but a few make up this troupe of lovers not fighters. So, you can keep up (and we can too!) the world’s greatest touring cover band may have tweaked their name but not their ever-present global reign!
