While our nation's founders were signing the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia, Uniontown's founders were establishing their town at the foot of Laurel Mountain - quite unaware of what was going on back east. This town is a great base to explore the Laurel Highlands, with nearby attractions like Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, Fort Necessity National Battlefield, Laurel Caverns, Ohiopyle State Park, and Nemacolin.
