Brookville is travel a hub with I-80 and routes 322, 36, and 28 converging nearby. The town features a charming restored Victorian Main Street with quaint shops, restaurants, striking architecture, a beautiful historical district. The northern trailhead for Redbank Valley Trail, Pennsylvania’s first “Trail of the Year”, is conveniently located near downtown. Twyford, the first four-wheel drive ever made, was built in Brookville and the Jefferson County History Center has one on display, along with many interesting exhibits and an impressive model railroad. Scripture Rocks Heritage Park features over 70 engraved boulders carved in the early 1900’s. At Blackbird Distillery visitors can sample America’s only completely handmade moonshine.
