In honor of Father’s Day, Historic Trappe is proud to offer a new “Men of the House” tour, focusing on Lutheran minister Henry Muhlenberg and his son, Revolutionary War General Peter Muhlenberg, in their roles as fathers. Join us as we examine the relationship between father and son and how their individual experiences and the times they lived in shaped their approaches to fatherhood. What was expected of them as fathers in early America? How did their roles in religion and politics affect their families?

America250PA and the Pennsylvania Freemasons Are Proud to Present: THE LIBERTY TREE PROJECT We welcome you to join us as we plant 67 Liberty Trees, one in each county across the Commonwealth. This project is part of a multi-year celebration of our nation's 250th Anniversary. On June 3rd, 2025 at 9.302 am, we will dedicate a Liberty Tree in Chester County at Malvern Memorial Grounds. Liberty Trees were gathering places for the Sons of Liberty throughout all 13 colonies.

Putman Arts Leader Lecture Series
The Metropolitan Museum of Art recently installed a historic stained-glass window designed by Tiffany Studios. The commissioning, designing, and crafting of the three-part Garden Landscape window (1912) was a process undertaken by a fully female cast of artists and philanthropists, a rare occurrence then as now. Join Alice Cooney Frelinghuysen, from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, as she shares the story behind this magnificent piece, from the designer Agnes Northrup and her work with the Tiffany Girls to the connection to American Impressionism and women in the garden movement.
