We’re excited to welcome you back to Pennsylvania to Pursue Your Happiness as a traveler. We want you to feel safe and comfortable while traveling in Pennsylvania and have compiled the information below to help you make the best decisions for you while traveling. For additional information on COVID-19 in PA, visit The Pennsylvania Department of Health - Coronavirus webpage and PA Unites Against COVID.

Visiting Pennsylvania Attractions and Businesses

Most attractions and businesses in Pennsylvania have resumed pre-pandemic operations, but some have opted to continue with mitigation efforts, such as requiring masks or reducing capacity. We encourage travelers to call ahead and check business websites and social media to make sure they are open and available and to be aware of any mitigation requirements.

For additional assistance on locating business-specific information and information specific to a region, visitors can also contact Pennsylvania’s Welcome Centers.

Mask & Vaccination Guidance

Getting vaccinated for COVID-19 and wearing a well-fitting face mask completely covering your nose and mouth can help protect you and others.

Pennsylvania does not have a masking requirement, but voluntary masking is strongly encouraged as an extra layer of protection. Additionally, some individual businesses and attractions may ask visitors to wear a mask. Visitors are advised to carry a mask in preparation for these circumstances.

All travelers are highly encouraged to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Pennsylvania has not mandated COVID-19 vaccinations for travel but individual businesses, venues, attractions, and localities may choose to require proof of vaccination status. Travelers are advised to check for vaccination requirement with these entities before visiting and to carry their CDC-issued vaccination card showing their COVID-19 vaccinations with them as they travel.

For more information on finding a COVID-19 vaccine, please visit the CDC Vaccine Finder website.

Testing

If you become unwell while traveling, Pennsylvania offers free COVID-19 testing at several locations across the Commonwealth. More information on visiting a free COVID-19 testing site is available through the Department of Health website.

Americans are also reminded that they are eligible to receive free at-home COVID-19 testing kits through the mail from the federal government. For more information or to register, please visit the COVID Tests federal website.

Travelers are asked to be mindful of others and reduce the likelihood of illness transmission by self-isolating if they feel unwell.

International Visitors

The United States is imposing travel restrictions on certain foreign national travelers. Under these restrictions, some international travelers may be required to show proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test or vaccination status.

Please check the CDC’s website for further international travel guidance before traveling to Pennsylvania.
