1. OX HILL COMMUNITY FAIR

Kick-off a new month by celebrating the Ox Hill Community Fair’s 89th year! Try a variety of rides, play games, enjoy live music, or show your talents during open mic night. 2. FARMERS AND THRESHERMENS JUBILEE

Farmers and Threshermens Jubilee

Uncover the beauty of antique agricultural machinery and iconic fall in PA activities at the Farmers and Threshermens Jubilee. During the five-day event, watch demonstrations like steam-powered cider mills, attend quilt shows and sales, and enjoy the popular “outhouse dash.” Attend a variety of events like horse pulling or the corn hole tournament and be sure to indulge in local eats from the breakfast to their chicken barbecue.

3. PITTSBURGH IRISH FESTIVAL

Put away your passport and head to Pittsburgh to immerse yourself in the history and tradition of Ireland at the Pittsburgh Irish Festival. Fall is the perfect time to connect back to Western Pennsylvania’s Irish roots as you feast on traditional Irish food, watch Irish dancing, and listen to music to celebrate this beautiful culture. Help them celebrate 33 years of this event at the National Historic Landmark, Carrie Blast Furnaces!

4. MOUNTAIN CRAFT DAYS

Mountain Craft Days

Be transported back in time at Mountain Craft Days and relive Southwestern PA’s history and heritage. Enjoy more than 125 craft booths and dive into the history of the area while surrounded by the beauty of the woods and meadows of the Laurel Highlands. Churn butter, learn how to bake a ginger cake, and taste old family recipes, like apple dumplings, at this old-fashioned event.

5. KENNETT SQUARE MUSHROOM FESTIVAL

It’s that time of year to celebrate all things mushrooms at the iconic Kennett Square Mushroom Festival! If you didn’t already know, Kennett Square is the Mushroom Capital of the World and that will become apparent after you attend this two-day event. Participate in a Mushroom ‘Chopped’ Contest, watch a cooking demonstration with this year’s celebrity chef, Carla Hall, learn about the magic of mushroom growth, and do not miss the fried mushroom eating contest. Lots of competitions, delicious recipes, and of course, many mushrooms, will all be shared at this fungi-filled event.

6. WILD WIND FOLK ART & CRAFT FESTIVAL

Wild Wind Folk Arts and Craft Festival

Since 1980, the Wild Wind Folk Arts and Craft Festival has celebrated a diverse group of artists selected for their originality and craftsmanship. Kick off fall and immerse yourself in the beautiful work of more than 150 artisans and their work ranging from pottery to paintings to pinecone designs. The festival will have activities for kids, live music, and food concessions.

7. 16TH ANNUAL MUZZLELOADER RENDEZVOUS BLACK POWDER SHOOT & ARTISAN SHOW

The Endless Mountains Primitive Outdoorsmen are sure to bring a challenge for archers and sharpshooters at the Muzzleloader Rendezvous Black Powder Shoot & Artisan Show. 8. MCCLURE BEAN SOUP FESTIVAL AND FAIR

For 133 years the town of McClure has celebrated all things Pennsylvania agriculture and, of course, beans at the annual Bean Soup Festival and Fair! Prepare yourself for the fierce competition of the milk chugging contest and the delicious battle for the best homemade ice cream. Participate in farm games, celebrate agriculture, and enjoy plenty of bean soup to go around!

9. COOKPORT FAIR

10. RAGTIME AT THE RAILROAD

Aim to have a fun fall in PA as you make your way to Forksville for the Pennsylvania Bowhunters Festival. This three-day event brings together thousands of bowhunters from across the country to participate in shooting activities in preparation for the upcoming archery season. 14. THE COUNT’S SPOOKTACULAR

From Elmo to Cookie Monster to Big Bird, watch as your Sesame Street favorites embrace haunts and Halloween festivities this fall season. Have the whole family come in costume to celebrate silly and family-friendly spooky fun at The Count’s Spooktacular. Enjoy trick-or-treating in Big Bird’s Beach, Halloween-themed shows, the Sesame Street Halloween Parade, dance parties, the Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt, and Sesame Street-themed rides for a day of tricks, but mostly treats.

15. PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL
