Join Wyck and Cliveden for a day of family fun celebrating the 200th anniversary of General Lafayette's return to Germantown on July 20, 2025! Follow in Lafayette's own footsteps and start your afternoon with a meet and greet and refreshments at Cliveden (6401 Germantown Avenue) between 12 pm and 2 pm. Follow the General down to Wyck (6026 Germantown Avenue) for more conversation and entertainment between 2 pm and 4 pm. This program is free. Twenty years ago, New Orleans underestimated the impact of Hurricane Katrina. After Katrina hit land, aging infrastructure failed, an entire city was thrown into an unimaginable hellscape of flooding waters and crumbling humanity, and the United States Government proved institutional neglect and systemic inequalities were (and are) still very much a part of the American way of life – especially for people of color.
