Hailing from Pennsylvania, Profane Elegy was formed by multi-instrumentalist J Gulick and vocalist/lyricist Mikael L in late 2021. Drawn together by their shared extreme music influences they set out to create a distinctly black metal sound infused with death, progressive, and doom metal elements.

The Six One Five Collective is a collaborative effort and creative brainstorm of four artists that are steeped in the musical mix of Country, Americana, Folk and Pop. Their sound is an undeniable wall of distinctive harmonies, vocal prowess, and solo voices that are reminiscent of those great American bands that have come before them; Fleetwood Mac, Little Big Town, etc. Their road show is an eclectic mix of original solo music, hit songs they’ve written for other artists, and high energy songs that are the ‘Six One Five sound.’

The Karl Stirner Arts Trail will celebrate the paintings created by children and youth on its Young Masters Wall with a reception on Tuesday, March 25, from 4:30-6 p.m. in Landis Cinema, Buck Hall, 219 N. Third Street. Danny Moyer, coordinator of the Young Masters Wall, will present a slideshow. Light refreshments will be available. The Young Masters Wall is a rotating installation at the Richard McAteer Memorial Bridge (“blue bridge”) along the Karl Stirner Arts Trail. At nearly 5 feet high and 80 feet long, the wall is located near the 13th Street entrance.

Museum for Art in Wood presents the First Friday opening of “Katie Hudnall: The Longest Distance between Two Points,” the first museum-organized solo presentation of fine woodworker Katie Hudnall’s unique and captivating work. The exhibition features a series of sculptural works and a large-scale interactive installation created from salvaged wood that captures Hudnall’s eye for the absurdly mechanical and uncanny. Curated by Jennifer-Navva Milliken, Hudnall’s unique and captivating work reveals a rare glimpse into the artist’s rich inner world.

Patrons are invited to an evening of storytelling and merriment during which they can enjoy an 18th Century tavern experience complete with period beer, cocktails, competitive toasts, games and various entertainments, and maybe even a rousting political debate. The Regimental Brewmeister will provide period correct, field brewed beers, ciders, and meads.

Pearl S. Buck International is pleased to announce a new special exhibition, Pearl and Petals, at the Pearl S. Buck House National Historic Landmark Museum this summer. Pearl and Petals will feature a wide range of floral displays by local designers and florists throughout the rooms of our historic house museum and inspired by the life and legacy of Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer, humanitarian, and activist Pearl S.
