View spectacular fall foliage during the Endless Mountains Heritage Region’s annual Fall Heritage Paddle on October 4, 2025. This 11-mile adventure will begin at Endless Mountains Outfitters (EMO) for check-in and waiver signing by 8 a.m. Following the welcome and safety briefing, participants will be shuttled to the Bradford County Outboard Motor Club to launch. Participants should bring appropriate footwear and clothing (pack rain gear, just in case), a lunch and/or snacks, sunscreen, and a sufficient supply of water.

Join Endless Mountains Heritage Region, Pinchot State Forest officials and Countryside Conservancy at Miller Mountain, with “A Walk in Penn’s Woods!” Started by the PA Forestry Association, A Walk in Penn’s Woods is a state-wide initiative to get residents of Pennsylvania in the woods on Sunday, Oct. 5, an annual event. It teaches participants how their local woods function and gives them an understanding and new appreciation for wildlife.

Enjoy a free afternoon of old-fashioned fall fun as kids make crafts, paint pumpkins, shuck corn, and press apples into cider. The whole family is welcome to play games, complete a scavenger hunt, and take a hayride around the meadow. Please note that the historic mansion will be CLOSED on October 18th.

Local author on dark history, Jennifer Green, will present on ordinary poisons in the Victorian Era at the Pennypacker Mills Classroom Building. The popular Third Thursdays on State Street return in 2025 for a new season of outdoor dining, extended shopping hours, live music, and family-friendly activities. Third Thursdays bring the community together and support restaurants and small businesses on State Street. State Street is closed from Broad to Center Streets from 5pm to 10pm every Third Thursday from May through October. Festivities begin at 5:30pm. To ensure an outdoor table, we recommend making a reservation directly with your restaurant of choice.

Ready to be scared?!? The Haunted Lake Loop Hike will take place on October 4 at Black Moshannon State Park. Enjoy a good scare and some laughs. Candy will be available at the end of the walk for children. **This may not be suitable for anyone that scares easily. Meet at the beach. The Lake Loop is a 3/4 mile flat trail, which has some roots crossing it. Donations will be accepted. The registration table will be at the beach house, where liability forms will need to be signed. Each person will get a wrist band once the form is signed.
