Region: Pittsburgh & Its Countryside

Pittsburgh’s love affair with professional baseball stretches back almost a century and a half when the Pittsburgh Allegheny’s took to the field for the first time in the spring of 1876. Renamed the Pittsburgh Pirates well over a hundred years ago, some of the sports’ greatest names have proudly worn the Pirates uniform, including Hall of Famers Roberto Clemente, Honus Wagner, Willie Stargell, and Bill Mazeroski. Cheer on today’s team as it takes on its current rival at PNC Park. Built in 2001 with the feel of an old-time baseball stadium, stunning views of the Pittsburgh skyline, and all the modern amenities, including great food, it’s easy to see why the park is considered one of the best in the nation!
