The Historic Daniel Lady Farm

1098 17325, 888 Hanover Street
Gettysburg, PA 17325
Region: Dutch Country Roads

The Daniel Lady Farm, located along Hanover Road just outside of Gettysburg, was used by Major General Edward Johnson as a staging area for the Confederate attack on Culp’s Hill, as well as a Confederate Field Hospital during the battle. Tours of both the house and barn will be given during the 2021 event weekends. Guests can see the blood stained floors where soldiers were operated on in the house. Guests will also be able to see soldier’s initials in a door jamb of the barn, and a fragment of a Union cannonball lodged in a floor joist!
