In honor of Father’s Day, Historic Trappe is proud to offer a new “Men of the House” tour, focusing on Lutheran minister Henry Muhlenberg and his son, Revolutionary War General Peter Muhlenberg, in their roles as fathers. Join us as we examine the relationship between father and son and how their individual experiences and the times they lived in shaped their approaches to fatherhood. What was expected of them as fathers in early America? How did their roles in religion and politics affect their families? Explore these topics while viewing the rooms and objects owned by the Muhlenbergs. Tours will be offered on Saturday, June 14, at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm. Advance registration is required. Each tour is limited to eight people. Check-in at the Visitor Center behind the Muhlenberg House, 201 W. Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426. Cost: $10 Member; $15 Non-Member.
