After defeating their evil magical teacher, five students need a replacement. Enter the very cool Mrs. Jewls. The kids finally have a teacher who won’t turn them into apples, but how long will this happily ever after last? After all, there is always something strange happening at Wayside School. This show is a part of BTE’s Kathy Baas Sensory Friendly Performance program. The Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble was founded on the principle that theatre should be “as important to its community as schools and churches.” The Kathy Baas Sensory Friendly Performances are crucial to this mission as the program ensures everyone has the chance to enjoy live theatre. These adjustments often come in the form of lowered decibel levels for sound cues, a quiet place if a patron becomes overwhelmed, and visual cues before the start of action that may be disconcerting.
