Instructor: Sarah Netter, The Artisan's Cellar This is wine the old way: minimal intervention, maximum expression. Georgia, the country not the state, is often called the birthplace of wine. With over 8,000 years of continuous winemaking tradition and a culture that treats wine like a national treasure, Georgia offers a journey like no other for curious wine lovers. Join us for an unforgettable tasting led by Tria alum and natural wine champion Sarah Netter of The Artisan’s Cellar. Together, we’ll explore six remarkable wines that reflect Georgia’s deep-rooted history and vibrant present. Think skin-contact amber wines made in ancient clay vessels (qvevri), bold reds from indigenous grapes, and a whole lot of heart and soul. From the highlands of Kakheti to the lush valleys of Imereti, each bottle tells a story of resilience, tradition, and wild, natural beauty. Sarah will share insight into the winemakers reviving ancient methods and why Georgian wine is having such a moment right now. Come curious, leave inspired, and maybe with a new favorite grape you can’t pronounce. As always tasty Tria snacks will be served and we encourage you to join us for Tria's Happier Hour, from 4 to 6 pm before class! Bottles will be available for sale after the class.
