Fashion Flaunt

The Wilder Museum of Warren County History invites you to get ready for June weddings with their "Always a Bridesmaid...Never a Bride!" Fashion Flaunt fundraiser. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and fancy beverages while local models parade the runway showcasing elegant, whimsical, and chic bridesmaids gowns. The event will include a display of vintage gowns from the Warren County Historical Society's textiles collection. These fabulous dresses, in a rainbow of colors and variety of fabrics, span the decades and the seasons. See how women of the past century supported their friends of their special days. The highlight of the evening is the annual purse auction conducted by professional auctioneer Scott Amundson. High bidders win purses --and the super-secret prizes inside such as jewelry, artwork, and gift certificates to area stores and restaurants. The cost of entry is a donation, and all proceeds go to maintaining the Wilder Museum. The Fashion Flaunt marks the opening of the museum's season. With over 4,000 local artifacts, it is the largest museum in the area.
