Join us for history, art and hands-on creativity to explore President Dwight D. Eisenhower's legacy as a statesman and an artist in this Encounters with History series event. A Gettysburg resident, President Eisenhower was known to paint in his free time to relax. Enjoy a 30-minute free presentation highlighting President Eisenhower's artistic passion, stories behind his works and history with an Eisenhower National Historic Site Ranger. Then, ticketholders will participate in a paint night experience focused on one of President Eisenhower's paintings. Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar are offered as part of the paint night portion of the experience. The opening Ranger Program is free and open to the public. Catering by Battlegrounds Hospitality. Ticket reservations are required for the paint night experience. Friends of Gettysburg receive member rate.
