The biggest event of the year at the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum that you won’t want to miss! Enjoy lively special programs, contests, and demonstrations that celebrate “woodhick” skills – the incredible talents and skills that lumber workers rely on in their demanding trade. Enjoy unique food and craft vendors, live music, games at the kid’s corner, operation of the museum’s sawmill and birch still, blacksmithing demonstrations, camp cooking, chainsaw carving, and door prizes. Visitors are encouraged to compete in the greased pole, log rolling, crosscut saw, and birling competitions to earn the title “Grand Champion Bark Peeler” and the associated cash prizes. Be part of the fun celebrating the heritage of Pennsylvania’s dynamic lumber heritage.
