Join us for the annual 2nd Place Race. The object is simple: collect just enough points – puzzles, challenges, games, trading and tricking - to finish in second place! Also, no running required! Remember: winning is more important than coming in first! The hunt begins at Quig’s (1714 Delancey Street (Plays & Players, third floor)). Doors open right at 5pm, so teams (can be any size) should arrive 5:00pm or after. There will be a sign to ring the bell so that you can get buzzed in (then amble up to the top floor). You’ll get your info packet and then the fun starts immediately! Later, teams travel a short distance to Devil’s Alley before finishing at City Tap Logan Square. As teams solve puzzles/challenges and play games, they begin to collect points (that can later be traded with other teams). Keep checking the leader board and see if your team can land in second place. At the end of the event (around 9:30ish) the team that ends up in second place wins!! So, grab a partner or two or more & sign up; then on the night of the hunt be sure to dress for the weather (you will be outside between bars!) & get ready to go for silver! The event is open to everyone, but it is suggested that all team members be over 21 (all the indoor stops are bars). Required items (per team): Pen or pencil Black (or dark) Sharpie Highlighter Something to write on Flashlight Device capable of receiving text messages Device capable of searching the Web Installed free QR Code app on smartphone Funds for food, drink & stuff See past 2nd Place Races here: https://www.clubedventures.com/rallye/2PRace/2pr.htm This year the hunt will benefit Paper Doll Ensemble - a feminist theatre collective whose original plays combine comedy, dance, theatre, and visual art to create captivating worlds with character-driven narratives. Their "tragicomedy" style illuminates the absurdity of everyday life and our political climate. Since their inception in 2017, PDE has been featured at Plays & Players Theatre, the Philly Fringe Festival, Alabama International Fringe, and "East to Edinburgh" with 59E59 Theaters in New York.
