Built in 1870, the Market House, which has been in business for more than 150 years, is busy year-round, offering a variety of products including fresh baked goods, candies, homemade pasta, coffees, maple sugar products, and crafts.
Broad Street Market
Harrisburg
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places as one of the oldest continuously operated market houses in the country, Harrisburg’s Broad Street Market was founded in 1860 and used to feed Civil War troops training at nearby Camp Curtin. Although a horrific fire struck the historic market in summer of 2023, the building is being restored and visitors can browse a variety of 20+ vendors in the temporary tent that stands parallel to the original brick building.

Boalsburg Farmer’s Market

Boalsburg Farmer’s Market, open every Tuesday from 2-6 p.m., is a "producers only" farmers market, meaning all products at the market are locally grown or produced by the vendors that sell them. You’ll find a wide variety of items including fresh fruits and berries, eggs, maple syrup, veggies, herbs, mushrooms, meats, take-home entrees, breads, and baked goods, plus salsas, jams, kombucha and kefir, to name but a few of all that’s there.

West Shore Farmers Market

The West Shore Farmers Market offers the freshest meats, produce, cheeses, and baked goods in the area. Started in the late 1940s, the market has more than 50 vendors selling all kinds of food from fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood, meat, and prepared foods to gourmet coffees and soft pretzels. The Upstairs Specialty Shoppes offer a variety of fine gifts, antiques, artwork, and a barber shop. Little known fact: before the land was transformed into a farmer’s market, it was part of an old air strip!
Downtown State College Farmers Market
State College
This charming Downtown State College Farmers Market is located in downtown State College right across from the Penn State campus. The market is held every Friday from May through November, with all vendors selling only the products they produce or grow, offering freshness, high quality, reasonable prices, and convenience. The market is open on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until Thanksgiving.
Warren Farmers Market

For the past 50 years, local gardeners, bakers, horticulturalists, beekeepers, meat suppliers, and home preservers have been offering their wares at the Warren Farmer’s Market. The market runs on Saturdays from June through October and gets bigger and better each year with local vegetables, fruits, baked goods, canned goods, pork, beef, goat, chicken, eggs, flowers, and even bison meat.
The Green Dragon Farmers Market

Every Friday morning since 1932, The Green Dragon Farmers Market has brought the ultimate farmers market experience to the small country town of Ephrata in Lancaster County. Today, with more than 400 local growers, merchants, and craftsmen, it is known as one of the largest farmers markets in the area. The Green Dragon offers both indoor and outdoor shopping and is located on a 30-acre site in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country.
Somerset County Farmers’ Market
Somerset
Now in its 20th year of operation, the Somerset County Farmers’ Market is THE place for produce in Somerset. The market is a producer-only tailgate market, offering the freshest goods from nearby farmers. Open Saturdays from May to November, marketgoers can find vegetables, fruit, flowers, eggs, meats, wines, and delicious baked goods, including pies, cinnamon rolls, and cookies. Come with an empty stomach and be sure to speak with the farmers about how to prepare some delicious dishes with their produce!
