1. NORTHERN APPALACHIAN FOLK FESTIVAL, INC.

Celebrate local art, history, and culture at the Northern Appalachian Folk Festival. This annual free event features performers who represent the diversity and talent of the North Appalachian region and contributes to the vibrancy of the community. Sway to the sounds of country, bluegrass, rock n’ roll, Americana, jazz, African drums, and blues music as you enjoy foods bursting with flavor and shop artisan crafts from local vendors. Attend workshops, held at local stores, to learn more about a range of topics from the history of the Underground Railroad in the area to how to identify and forage for wild mushrooms. The festival also includes a Walk of Fame honoring North Appalachians who have made contributions in the arts, education, environmentalism, and sports.

2. PHOENIXVILLE BLUES FESTIVAL

Now in its 12th year, the Phoenixville Blues Festival is one of the area’s best free blues festivals. For an entire day near Philadelphia, enjoy local talent, food, vendors, and national headliners like Vanessa Collier, a saxophonist nominated for twelve Blues Music Awards, and Brown Sugar, a Rolling Stones tribute band. The event promises a fun-filled day for the entire family with proceeds benefiting a number of local charities.

3. TRACY LAWRENCE AT TIMBER ROCK AMPHITHEATER

7. LANCASTER ROOTS & BLUES
