On weekends during October, get lost in one of two corn mazes or enjoy pony rides, hayrides, and a gift shop. 20. Sugartown Strawberries

Sugartown Strawberries‘ country store is well known throughout the region for their farm fresh vegetables, sweet corn, and melons. Starting on weekends in late September, visitors can take a tractor-drawn hayride through acres of patches to choose their prized pumpkin for decorating or carving. After picking a pumpkin, visitors can warm up near a bonfire.

21. Fields of Adventure

The family-run Fields of Adventure farm boasts multiple interactive attractions each year as part of their annual Fall Harvest Festival. Ride down a zipline, pick a pumpkin at the U-Pick Pumpkin Patch, or navigate through their epic corn maze. Creekside Farm & Market is well-known for their spectacular pick-your-own sunflower offerings featuring traditional yellows to an array of orange, pink, red, burgundy and anything in between. This fifth-generation family farm also boasts a bunch of fun fall activities, including a pick your own pumpkin patch, corn maze, close to a dozen free games and activities, and hayrides!

24. Ard's Farm


Fall weekends are more fun at Ard’s Farm. Catch hayrides to the pumpkin patch, feed the farm animals, or wander their way through the Alice in Wonderland-themed corn maze! Make sure to shop the farm’s market to pick up some central Pennsylvania goodies-to-go before getting back on the road.

25. Kohls Stony Hill Tree Farm


The name Kohls Stony Hill Tree Farm might conjure visions of Christmas, but the farm offers plenty of fall fun as well. After finding the prettiest pumpkin in the patch, shoot ears of corn from the Corn Cannon or try the Pumpkin Chunkin Slingshot. If you’re up for even more autumnal activities, play one of the 50 giant-sized lawn games like Jenga or Kurplunk that are set up for guests; enjoy a 30-minute hayride that includes a trip over a historic covered bridge; and try to find your way through their seven-acre corn maze.

Gray's Apple Ridge is a family-run apple orchard that not only offers apple picking, but also has a picturesque pumpkin patch. On arrival, employees will give visitors a pruner to cut their very own pumpkin right off the vine. Don’t leave without checking out their jack-o’-lanterns and trying their delicious apple cider and homemade jam.

27. Risser-Marvel Farm Market


The family-owned Risser-Marvel Farm Market has fun fall activities for people of all ages. Put your decision-making skills to the test by venturing into the corn maze or hop on a hayride to the pick-your-own pumpkin patch. Afterwards, browse through a wide selection of fresh produce and baked goods, locally sourced eggs and dairy products, and fall décor.

28. Duda's Farm


Started as a wagon on the roadside selling ears of corn, Duda’s Farm has transformed over the past 35 years and now supplies southwestern PA with fresh produce. During the fall, Duda’s turns into an autumn wonderland where you can take a hayride to the pumpkin patch, pick you own gourd, and get lost in a corn maze. At the end of a long day, relax and unwind next to their bonfires.

31. Central Market


Central Market in downtown York is holding its 12th Annual Pumpkinfest on Oct. 21 complete with family-friendly offerings and activities including free pumpkins and decorating supplies, as well as a wide variety of pumpkin-themed food specials and menu items. Plus, market stands and other local downtown businesses will be hosting trick-or-treating for the kids so they can practice their very best “boo!”-ing ahead of Halloween.

32. Reeger’s Farm

Bring the family to Reeger’s Farm this year for their annual Pumpkin Festival taking place each weekend through October 22. Pick your pumpkin and take a leisurely walk through the corn maze before going to the barn to spend time visiting with the animals. In addition to local food trucks, goodies will be available for purchase at the market.
