Pennsylvania's many museums offer a chance to step back and observe our culture one object at a time. Artifacts have so many stories to tell; come and see what you can discover!
Railroaders Museum

This museum is really cool. My husband and I are really into trains, and we checked it out on a trip to Horseshoe Curve. There's an interactive exhibit that lets you type in your last name to see if any of your ancestors worked on the PRR. I typed in my maiden name, and this woman who was also there came up to me and said "Is it really you?"Turns out she was my freshman-year roommate! What a surprise! I guess it really is a small world!

Head on over to Oakland and check out the Carnegie Museums. Get a great view up on Mount Washington. Another really cool part of town you have to see is the Strip District---and if you've never had one, a sandwich from Primanti Brothers is a must.
Steel City culture....and ice cream, too!

Start early. Pittsburgh's got a lot goin' on, and you'll need the extra time to check it all out (the city owns the Superbowl title, ya know, so pay attention to it!).

Take the train in Strasburg, then visit the RR Museum. Next is Gettysburgh, followed by Biglerville and Hershey. Then off to Halifax and the boiling pool.
