Philadelphia is known for its history, food, art, and all the other great things you'd expect from a big American city. While you're in the city limits, be sure to check out the most famous cracked bell in the world, The Liberty Bell. Not far away you'll find Independence Hall where our forefathers, adorned in their finest powdered wigs, politicked into the wee hours of the morning. The Please Touch Museum, with its fun exhibits, lets a kid's curiosity run wild. And let's not kid ourselves - grownups love it too. In South Philly you'll find Philadelphia's 9th Street Italian Market, where Philadelphians have been coming for fresh fruit, meat, and veggies since the days of the horse and buggy. You cannot leave there empty-handed. Then make your way to City Hall for a snapshot of the William Penn statue. Head west out of city to the King of Prussia Mall, one of the biggest around, for some high-class shopping. Make some room in the trunk! Sesame Place offers children a chance to meet all their favorite fuzzy characters from the show. Or if you want to answer the call of the wild, Ridley Creek State Park offers 2,600 acres of woodlands and meadows for you to frolic in. And the Mercer Museum welcomes you to wander around in a real castle. There's the Brandywine River Museum, where you'll find a collection from renowned local artist Andrew Wyeth and other members of the family. While you're in town, stop by Valley Forge National Historic Park to check out the site of Washington's famous encampment. Then make a trip to the Chaddsford Winery and pick up a bottle of cabernet or chardonnay. It's their specialty. And a stop at Longwood Gardens is a must for any nature lover. It has over 1,000 acres of gardens and unique plants. Then catch some Z's in a cozy room as you dream of your adventures in Philadelphia and its countryside.
