The King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company recently completed and dedicated Montgomery County's largest and most symbolic 9/11 Memorial. Located on public property at 170 Allendale Road in King of Prussia the site features two steel I-beams recovered from ground zero New York. It's location is ideally located close to the King of Prussia Mall, Rts. 202, 76, 422, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. This easily accessible location affords many visitors the chance to remember, reflect, and learn of the events that marked that day. It was dedicated on the 10th Anniversary of the tragedy and was well attended by the public as well as local, state, and federal dignitaries. Our goal is to alert as many organizations of the memorial and monument in order to teach young and old alike the importance of never forgetting what was lost and what can be gained.
