With the cooperation of the Smock Community Center, the Society has established the Smock Heritage Museum to preserve the heritage of this special coal mining community. The museum is located on the second floor of the Community Center which was formerly the H. C. Frick Company Store. Visitors will climb the exterior steps and enter an area that takes you back in time. Displays, artifacts and replication of a 'coal patch house', authentic church, a union bar, barber shop and back porch. The museum is closed for the winter but will reopen June 5th through October 30th from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., Saturdays only. You can also visit us Sunday through Friday by appointment only.
