The Chadds Ford Historical Society is a private nonprofit organization. It owns, operates, and maintains two 18th century restorations - the John Chads House and the Barns-Brinton House. The historical society focuses on the 18th century history of Chadds Ford and offers tours of two historic homes/museums. Special events are offered throughout the year. Houses are open to the public on weekends May through September, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. and for group tours by appointment. Educational programs for schoolchildren are held at the Barns-Brinton House during the months of September, October, November, March, April, May, and June.
