York City is home to 5 independent, craft breweries all within a 1-square mile radius making it one of the greatest concentrations of breweries anywhere in the country! Join our knowledgeable and experienced Beer Guides as we explore 3 York City breweries, experiencing exclusive facility tours and guided samplings of up to 12 different beers, while they provide historical and anecdotal insights of our nation’s 1st Capital. All guests will also receive a Beer Token for a free pour on a return visit to any of our participating breweries. Whether you’re a craft beer aficionado, a novice, or someone who just wants to learn more about craft beer, this tour is for you! Brewery Tours was created in 2017 as a tourism and economic driver designed to capitalize on the national craft beer trend. We launched our first exclusive, educational and entertaining craft beer experience in October of 2018 as the York County Ale Trail in South-Central PA with a walking tour of the York City breweries. In 2019, we added our first Brew Bus to expand our tours throughout York County, which are home to 28 breweries and growing. In 2022, a second Brew Bus was added with the opening of our Hanover Brewery Tours line with plans on expanding throughout central PA. All of our craft beer experiences are led by our Beer Guides who are knowledgeable and experienced in the craft beer industry and bring a unique and special perspective on our tours as they lead guests on guided tastings with behind-the-scenes access while sharing fun and historical anecdotes. Since launching, Brewery Tours has consistently maintained a 5-star rating from our guests and we have been named one of the Best of the Best Local Tourist Attractions in 2021 and 2022 with our craft beer experiences being featured nationally on such platforms as the Poured in PA documentary series, Philadelphia’s What’s Brewing PA, and travel writers and bloggers from around the country. Through our efforts and this exposure, we routinely host guests from around the country who are interested in unique craft beer experiences.
