Spare Parts in Concert in the Bethany Bandshell! A Free Concert at the Bethany Public Library. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 7 p.m. Admission Free On Saturday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m. Spare Parts will be in concert at the Bethany Public Library. Spare Parts is a traditional Bluegrass band formed over 30 years ago by NYS bluegrass legend Gene Clayton. After his passing in 2017, the members of his band decided to carry on Gene's legacy by playing traditional bluegrass music under the Spare Parts name. Josh Sudigala, Guitar/Vocals Josh is a young master guitarist/singer-songwriter. He is one half of the bluegrass duo Cavage & Sudigala. He has also played with the Hickory Project. His blazing solos and rock solid rhythm are sure to delight. With roots in traditional bluegrass, and a vision to the new bluegrass movement, Josh is surely a guitarist to watch. Don Hardic, Mandolin/Vocals Don is a long time mandolin player and singer. His powerful voice, driving rhythm, and melodic solos are a key component of Spare Parts' traditional bluegrass sound. He spent the majority of his bluegrass career playing in churches, and has been Spare Parts' mandolin player for the last decade. Bill Kerchner, Banjo Bill has played banjo and bluegrass music for over 40 years. With an ear for traditional bluegrass, Bill has become a well known banjo player in Eastern PA. He has played with the band Country Grass for many years as well as with Spare Parts. His solid Scruggs style banjo playing is sure to keep audiences everywhere entertained. Jim Schaffer, Bass/Vocals Jim is one of the most sought after bass players in Eastern PA and has been part of the bluegrass scene for many years. Playing in some of the premier bands throughout the Lehigh Valley has honed Jim's skills. He has played with acts such as Country Grass and the Lost Ramblers. Jim's solid bass playing and great voice are sure to keep audiences delighted long after the show is over. Call the library at 570-253-4349 for more information The concert is free.
