Porch Performance: Edgar Allan Poe: Readings by Virginia Poe

Welcome Virginia Poe, portrayed by actress Alisa Dupuy, as she discusses her relationship with her husband, Edgar Allen Poe and then does a dramatic reading of “The Black Cat.” Bring a chair or blanket to sit on as Dupuy performs on the porch . Tour through two floors of PA Governor Samuel Pennypacker's mansion set on 170 acres of bucolic farmland. The mansion is decorated with family furnishings and heirlooms where visitors will discover what it was like to live in the early 1900's. Stop by the galleries and see the newest exhibit on stereoscopes, visit the Museum Shop for vintage inspired items, and tour through the Servant's wing where you'll see a Butler's Pantry, expansive kitchen and finally, the Laundry Room with the latest in laundry technology! All ages welcome! Tours take approx. 1 hour. Masks required.
