Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens presents Three-Week Panel Mosaic Workshop

Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens presents a three-week panel mosaic workshop, where participants will be led by PMG’s Preservation Team in creating their own 24” x 16” mosaic panel using the Zagar Method of mosaicking. Discover this freeing and versatile art form with staff that have trained with PMG creator Isaiah Zagar and are responsible for maintaining the mosaics at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens. All supplies are included. Participants should plan to take their mosaic home with them on the last day of class. Framing is available for a discounted rate at New Image Art & Framing, 601 S. 9th Street. Week 1: Create a “blob” with colorful grout and glaze tiles to use in your mosaic Week 2: Learn to break tile and cut mirror, plan your design, and place tiles Week 3: Grout your mosaic and take your masterpiece home The workshop runs on January 30th, February 6th, and February 13th from 6pm to 8pm.
