Learn about the days activies below! 1:00 pm to 1:35 pm - The Ladybug and the Firefly (Especially suitable for very young children, pre-K to 2nd grade) An unlikely friendship develops through tolerance and self-sacrifice. A ladybug needs help getting home. She hires a young firelfy to light her way, but is neither grateful or considerate, until a hungry catbird arrives on the scene! 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm - Easy Puppets Workshop Children make either a sock puppet or a bandanna hand puppet of their own design. They give their puppet a name, a personality, and a voice, and may introduce their puppet creation on the puppet stage. 3:15 pm - 4:00 pm - Antonia's Great Adventure (Especially suitatable for 1st grade to 4th grade) In this epic of miniature proportions, a shy black ant begins the adventure of her life when she is carried away on a cupcake! She falls to earth, lost, and meets a traveling flea circus full of insects showcasing their special talents: caterpillars turning into butterflies, a dangerous praying mantis, and a curious boy scientist. Real facts about insects are illustrated in this unusual tale of transformation. Tickets for this show are available by donation. Families may arrive at any time for any portion of the children's shows or workshops. Call 570-588-8077 for questions about this event."
