Friday, September 29 thru Sunday, November 19 From Home to Headquarters: Washington in Worcester Join us as we go back in time to October of 1777 when the Peter Wentz Farmstead was transformed from a family home to the military headquarters of General George Washington and his wartime military family. The exhibit will feature a detailed re-creation of the first floor rooms used by Washington and his military staff to run the Continental Army during his stay. Learn about the troops’ movements in Montgomery County as part of the Philadelphia Campaign and the effects their presence had on local residents like the Wentz family. This exhibit will run from September 29th thru November 19. Admission to this exhibit is included in our regular tours. Call the site at 610-584-5104 to reserve your tour Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sundays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This exhibit has been made possible through a generous grant from the Spring House Questers. All ages, free.
