Celebrate autumn during Fall Harvest Weekend, October 6th-9th, with farm-to-forest foods, dancing, and music in the PA Wilds! Stay three nights in a Fireside Suite with breakfasts delivered each morning, dance to live bluegrass music on Sunday, and enjoy a three-course dinner on Sunday night. Your fireside suite includes a jetted tub with a gas fireplace, a private balcony with forest views, and close access to the live music and dancing happening on Sunday in our Great Room. Sunday’s Fall Harvest dinner includes a cranberry, candied walnut, and goat cheese salad, apple hickory smoked chicken with sweet potato and roasted vegetables, and pumpkin pie with homemade whip cream. On your day of arrival, enjoy casual eats out on our restaurant deck from our “Wild Crafter’s Kitchen” Menu. Save room for dessert, because our signature chocolate cake is something not to miss! For the ultimate wine and dine experience, reserve Gateway’s “Taste of the Wilds” menu on Saturday and add on the wine flights offered for the evening. Gateway has been recognized by Wine Spectator Magazine since 2008 for its spectacular wine list. While here, venture an hour out to historic Franklin, PA for their annual Applefest® happening Friday through Sunday. Or take a scenic route to the Elk Country Visitor Center and see Pennsylvania’s only wild elk herd bugle. For a spectacular view, make the trip to Kinzua Skywalk for a panoramic view of autumn colors. Fall is a reminder of how beautiful change can be. Change up your holiday weekend with a weekend away at Gateway Lodge in beautiful Cook Forest State Park. Reserve online or by calling 814-744-8017. We look forward to celebrating the fall season with you!
