Halloween is the perfect time for a murder mystery! Join us at the release party for Michelle Haring’s debut cozy mystery Death of a Saleswoman, the first in her Death Motors series. The celebration will be from 12 noon to 3 PM at the Cupboard Maker Books in Enola on both Saturday, October 30th and Sunday, October 31st. The first hundred customers each day will get special swag with their purchase of Death of a Saleswoman. Saturday customers will receive a Death Motors pin set, and Sunday customers will receive a Death Motors keychain. About Death of a Saleswoman: “My life plan checklist was: Finish my Ph.D. in Popular Culture Find a job as a tenured professor (I wish) Buy a house (HA) Adopt a cat Not on my life checklist: Move in with my 72 year old grandfather, Lando Get a job selling cars Find a dead blonde in a convertible My new checklist Solve her murder, so the police don’t suspect me Avoid becoming the next victim My colleagues in academia think I’m unemployed. I refuse to use my academic title in the car business. I’m Dr. Violet Landovic, and I sell cars.” About Michelle Haring: “Michelle Haring is a bookstore owner turned author. She started her book career in 1987 and has owned Cupboard Maker Books for twenty two years. Cupboard Maker Books has over 125,000 used and rare books along with several thousand new titles. As a bookseller, Michelle has won several awards including RT Book Reviews Bookseller of the Year, the 2018 RT Book Reviews Creative Initiative Award and the 2019 RWA Steffie Walker Bookseller of the Year Award. Because she has been so immersed in the bookstore and publishing world, she decided she didn’t want to set her cozy mystery series within one. Thus, Death Motors was born. When Michelle isn’t writing, you can find her reading and sorting through the plethora of books at Cupboard Maker Books. She’s found all sorts of items in books, but has yet to find herself living in a cozy mystery scenario.” Find out more about Michelle at michelleharing.com
