Costumed interpreters perform the tasks that made the Allegheny Portage Railroad function. Programs include stonecutting, log hewing, rope making, natural dyes and more! Programs vary on a daily basis. These programs are generally held between 10 a.m. to noon in the mornings and 2 to 4 p.m. in the afternoons. These programs are weather and staff dependent! Please inquire with the ranger at the front desk to see what program is being offered on the day of your visit.
