Curators Club (for grades 3-5) and CC2 (6-8th) are science enrichment programs on a variety of topics in a fun learning environment at The Oakes Museum of Natural History. Curators Club members receive a membership card for free admission to The Oakes Museum of Natural History, a certificate for three free children's admissions, and a t-shirt. This fall we are offering 6 sessions for CC (3-5th) and 3 sessions for CC2 (6-8th). Sessions are as listed below: CC - Saturdays 9:15-11:30 AM, $20/Session Saturday September 16th : Snap, Slither & Snooze Learn about the Life of reptiles Saturday September 30th : What’s For Dinner Herbivores, Carnivores and Omnivores! Saturday October 21st : Give me some space! Overpopulation in animal groups. Saturday November 4th : Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! Find out about the trash we make Saturday November 18th : Spots & Stripes & other animal mysteries! Find out how animals use patterns and colors! Saturday December 9th : Lions, Zebras & Zulus! Learn about African Animals and Culture. CC2 - Saturday OR Thursday, $25/session Saturday, September 30th– Radio Telemetry: Learn how radio telemetry works and how it is used in wildlife studies! Thursday, October19th– Intro to dissection : Learn about the skills needed and complete a frog dissection! Thursday November 16th - Elephants: Explore the world of elephants and current conservation efforts.
