Class: Comedy Writing And Performance Class

This introductory/intermediate Comedy Writing and Performance class is open to anyone interested in turning personal experience and/or observations into comedic work. We'll explore highlights of mediums that are of interest to students, including but not limited to: satire writing, personal essay, Onion-style pieces, Instagram/Tik-Tok style videos, stand up comedy, sketch writing, musical comedy and more. I will build the curriculum around the interests of the class, but each week we will be learning one or two core skills that I believe help the most successful work shine. Weekly assignments and peer review will allow students to leave the course with the seeds of a portfolio and the confidence that they can continue to grow as an artist. 6 classes, 90 minutes per class, Saturdays at 11:00 AM, starting April 8 through May 13
