"Harmony Hill Puppet Shows & Workshop For Children | Sunday, Aug 15, 2021 Harmony In The Woods | On Rt 6 in Hawley, PA, next to North of the Border Fireworks | Bring your own blankets for sitting Mary Benson of Harmony Hill Puppets has a BA in English from Rutgers University, and is certified in Elementary Education. She was a member of Dr. Neff's Incredible Puppet Company, formerly a theater-in-residence at Glassboro College (now Rowan University) in Glassboro, NJ, for 5 years. She established Harmony Hill Puppet Theatre in 1995, and for 6 years led puppetry workshops in the L.I.F.E. Afterschool program for the School District of Lancaster, PA. Learn about the day's activities below! 1:00 pm to 1:35 pm - From the Bottom of the Sea (Especially suitable for very young children, pre-K to 2nd grade) A boy goes all the way to the bottom of the sea to get his best friend the best birthday present in the world. He discovers a treasure there, and sea creatures having a party. Will he bring back the best present in the world, and what IS it? 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm - Easy Puppets Workshop Children make either a sock puppet or a bandanna hand puppet of their own design. They give their puppet a name, a personality, and a voice, and may introduce their puppet creation on the puppet stage. 3:15 pm - 4:00 pm - A Dragon's Tale (Especially suitable for 1st grade to 4th grade) A plucky Princess rescues her Prince from a fierce dragon, in this story of second chances and following your heart. When the dragon wants to change his ways, will anyone believe him? Tickets for this show are available by donation.
