The Warren County Historical Society invites you to join First Assistant District Attorney Cody Brown on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 6 PM in the Warren County Courthouse’s Main Courtroom, 204 Fourth Ave., Warren, PA, for a special program about the assassination of Judge Allison D. Wade. The courthouse was the scene of a historic—and horrific—first on January 13, 1954, when Judge Wade became the first American jurist to be assassinated while sitting on the bench. Bullet holes from the 1954 shooting are still visible, and A.D.A. Brown will conduct a tour of the courtroom at the event. The Colt .45 from that fateful day will also be on display. This program is free and open to the public. Visitors must enter at the rear of the courthouse and go through security screening.
