Skiing in PANewly submitted Traveler Story!
Category: Outdoor Recreation
Location: NE PA Mountains
With the holidays over I need to plan some fun. I'll be taking my family on an extended ski weekend to Sno Mountain and Elk Mountian. We'll stay at a great hotel in Clarks Summitt called the Inn at Nichols Village. It's so clean and big and the staff is super nice. Great deals with the local hotels and restaurants. I love that it's just a short ride from Philadelphia, at only a fraction of the cost to ski in Vermont. The slopes are fantastic! Try White Lighting on Sno.

military euphanismsNewly submitted Traveler Story!

Location: carlisle
One great thing about PA is the U.S. Army War College. Instead of calling it a Defense College it still retains its original name. At one time we had a Department of War, but then they sustituted "defense" to make it sound better. I like originality and honesty on the part of our military and on the part of a great state like Pennsylvania. THey made Harrisburg the capital too!

Rafting in PA ... Who knew?/
Category: No Categories
Location: Lehigh River near Stroudsburg
I was invited to raft down the Lehigh River with a group of friends. Rafting down the river? I didn't know organized tours went down that river. As we entered the water, my friends and I felt the impulse to spalsh every boat we could to include a boat load of young ladies from New York City. The girl located in the rear of the boat had a great smile!!!! We will be married seven years this December. Quite the rafting trip.....
