Route: 120, Clinton and Elk Counties
Travel through unspoiled forests and rugged vistas through the heart of the Pennsylvania Wilds. Your voyage will take you from Lock Haven to historic Ridgway along the Old Sinnemahoning Trail, a Native American road tucked between the West Branch Susquehanna and Allegheny Rivers. Watch for elk herds in nearby Winslow Hill.
Save time for some of the charming, quintessential small towns that make Pennsylvania famous. Stop in St. Marys for a cold Straub beer, or check out Kettle Creek State Park in Renovo. And with its magnificent Victorian architecture, Williamsport, home of the Little League World Series, is a worthy side trip.

Kayaking Western PA
Submitted By: Jeff & Kym Christy
Last year, at the age of 52, my wife and I, and friends started kayaking the streams, rivers and lakes of Western PA. We came across this old dam on Henry Run while kayaking the Clarion River this past Memorial Day weekend. There are numerous remote, scenic areas that can only be explored from the water, not to mention the relaxation experienced floating down a lazy stream. PA has stunning beauty if we just stop and look around.
Best Memorial Day ever

The weekend prior we did Jim Thorpe, PA, the coolest little town in the state. For Memorial Day we went to where it all began: Philly! The Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, our beloved Phillies and, of course, a "Whiz Wit" at Pat's. The next day was the amazing Art Museum, and, oh yeah, shocking my girlfriend at LOVE Park!
National Road

When we head East for vacation, we always take this old road. The scenery is beautiful, and we like seeing the old highway markers. It's a lot less stressful than the big highways.
