Destinations in this Roadtrip:

  • Ryot Covered Bridge
Ryot Covered Bridge is 83 feet long and of Burr Truss construction.
  • Historic York Inc
Perhaps most well-known for its dozens of factory tours, including Hershey's Chocolate World, Herr's Foods, Snyder's of Hanover and more, York also boasts a historical heritage that spans 275 years. From the arrival of early Pennsylvania German settlers in 1728 to the hosting of the Second Continental Congress and the signing of the Articles of Confederation in 1777 to several area Civil War sites, York's history is preserved in a number of museums. These include the Agricultural and Industrial Museum, the Police Heritage Museum, the Fire Museum of York County and the Historical Society of York Museum, which also houses the offices of the York County Heritage Trust, a great source for information about visiting this historic area.
