  • Strasburg
    Visit this historic village situated in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Ride in a traditional amish buggy, or an historic steam train for a step back into the past.
  • Historic Gettysburg
    Experience this historic town surrounded by the famous fields of the battle of Gettysburg.
  • National Apple Museum
    Opened in 1990, the museum is housed in a restored pre-Civil War bank barn and is owned and operated by the Biglerville Historical and Preservation Society. Exhibits include early picking, packing and shipping of fruit, pest management, commercial fruit processing equipment, early orchard photographs and a recreated 1880s farm kitchen and a General Store.

    The museum also features collections of farming implements, apple peelers and fruit labels and much more apple memorabilia. The museum is open April through October of each year, Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Group tours may be scheduled by appointment.

    The museum also has a first floor meeting room with audio/visual equipment, kitchen and a separate outside enclosed pavillion with electrical outlets. Both can be rented for a resonable fee for reunions, group meetings, etc. Both the museum and the pavillion are accessible for the handicapped.

    The museum is located on Route 394/West Hanover Street in Biglerville. It is easy to get to by taking PA Route 34 north from Gettysburg, or the same route south from Interstate 81 at Carlisle, as well as the PA Turnpike at the U.S. Route 15 south exit east of Carlisle. Exit from U.S. 15 south to west PA 394 and stay on that road. The museum is about a quarter mile west of the junction of Routes 394 and 34 in Biglerville.
  • State Capitol Tours
    Includes the Capitol Building, Capitol Park and Plaza, and the Forum Building, which houses the State Library of Pennsylvania. A perfect place for lunch, a quiet stroll, or to learn about Pennsylvania's history.
  • Stocks On Second
    If you're in the area, stop by and have a warm and relaxing meal at Stocks on Second!
  • Lake Tobias Wildlife Park
    Wild and exotic animals, safari tours, reptiles and zoo exhibits. Guided tours available.
