Poconos

>>>>>>Fun, beauty, adventure---no wonder Route 6 was called "one of America's most scenic drives" by National Geographic magazine. One of the first towns you come to along this lovely road is Milford, otherwise known as "the prettiest county seat in America" (according to Atlantic Magazine). Milford boasts fabulous architecture and unique shopping along its tree-lined streets. Be sure to check out Grey Towers, the former home of Governor Gifford Pinchot. He founded the U.S. Forest Service - which explains all the trees gracing the town! You should also see the Lincoln flag at the Columns Museum. Then, it's off to Lake Wallenpaupack to fish, water ski, and boat. You can also enjoy one of the six recreation areas, where you can hike, observe wildlife, and birdwatch. For lunch, take a boat ride to one of the lake's islands for a picnic.
