Great Weekend in Milford
Submitted by: ChelseaGuy
Great weekend in Milford. Saw Hudson River paintings at the Hotel Fauchere and stayed o/night. Incredible:Great food, huge photo of John Lennon & Andy Warhol in the bar. Saw Grey Towers, a 19th c. Normanesque chateau at the edge of town that was Gifford Pinchot's home. Also checked out the blood-stained Lincoln Flag at the Columns Museum, which was moving. The town is extremely charming, well-landscaped, most of it is an historic district.Galleries, antiques, shops.A return trip is in order.
It's Snow Surprise
Submitted by: Bruce Foster
I recently left snowy Central New York to escape the
high snowbanks and visit my daughter and her family
in Coatesville PA. Upon my arrival, I was planning
to sit on my daughter's deck and enjoy the scenic
Brandywine Valley. Apparently a snowstorm that
recently visited Washington DC also came to the Philadelphia area.
