Polar Bears in their new exhibit at Water's Edge. Watch the playful 2-year-old brother polar bears as they swim and play in their new exhibit. With 7 viewing windows strategically placed around the exhibit, visitors can see the bears no matter where they are in their new home. Get up close and personal to the bears from large viewing windows in Pier Town. Learn important information about ways you can help to protect and conserve the polar bear's habitat. The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium is open every day of the year except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's days. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with admission gates closing at 4 p.m. Admission is as follows: Adults: $7, Seniors (60 and older): $6, Children (ages 2-13): $6, Children under 2 are free and parking is also free.
